LUKOIL SIGNS DOCUMENT WITH PERM REGION ON BITUMEN SUPPLIES FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

LUKOIL and the Ministry of Transport of Perm Region agreed on supplies of bitumen materials. The document was signed by Maxim Donde, General Director of LLC-International (LUKOIL Lubricants Company, a wholly owned subsidiary), and Nikolay Ukhanov, Minister of Transport of Perm Region. Present at the signing ceremony were LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and head of the region Maxim Reshetnikov.
The agreement provides for LUKOIL's active role as a supplier of advanced bitumen materials for road construction, including polymer bitumen binders and asphalt emulsions. The company and the ministry will also be involved in joint developments and tests of innovative bitumen materials during the construction and maintenance of the region's roads.
The program to develop the production of innovative bitumen materials was kicked off late last year when a rack for feedstock intake was launched at the LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery. The new facility ensures efficient utilization of the capacities of the bitumen plant in Perm.
