LUKOIL TO SUPPORT SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF YAMAL

Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, signed a Cooperation Agreement for 2020-2024 today in Moscow.
The company will continue to contribute to the strategic development of the region and strengthening of its economic stability, carrying out sporting events, cultural and arts projects, ecological projects, and those designed to restore national traditions of indigenous peoples of the North.
The company has sponsored building of homes for the local people and medical staff of the regional hospital in the township of Tazovsky. It has also built there the Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother, as well as chantries in the villages of Gaz-Salé and Antipayuta.
Since 2018, the company has been allocating funds for grant financing of the winners of the Social and Cultural Projects Contest of LUKOIL in Tazovsky Region and the city of Salekhard.
