RF MINISTER OF CULTURE PRAISES LUKOIL’S SOCIAL PROJECTS IN KOGALYM

Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra Natalia Komarova visited the recently opened local branch of the Moscow's State Academic Maly Theatre and other social and cultural facilities in Kogalym, today.

A working meeting on the development of social projects in West Siberia took place in the new theatre, constructed with LUKOIL's support under the agreement on cooperation between the company, the RF Ministry of Culture, the Maly Theatre, the Government of Yugra and Kogalym's municipal government. Vladimir Medinsky thanked both LUKOIL's team and Yugra's government for their contribution to cultural projects in the region and gave awards to Vagit Alekperov, Natalia Komarova and to another seven residents of the district.

The working trip to Kogalym concluded with the visit to the Galaktika sports and culture facility, the museum and exhibition center, constructed with the company's financial support and the church of Holy Martyr Tatiana. The church, constructed at the expense of LUKOIL Charitable Foundation, was dedicated by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and Russia in September 2018.
