OAO LUKOIL (the “Company”) was informed that Mr. Vagit Yu. Alekperov, President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Company, acquired 100,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 16 September 2008 in Moscow. The volume of the transaction was 142,733,814 Russian rubles.
