LUKOIL STARTS WIND MONITORING IN KALMYKIA

PJSC LUKOIL started to perform wind monitoring, which is the first stage of developing feasibility study for constructing a wind power plant at the Caspian Sea coast near Artesian settlement, Republic of Kalmykia (the Artesian WPP).

The wind monitoring is carried out in compliance with international standards. The observation will continue until the end of 2022 and allow to determine exact wind power potential of the region. The first studies suggest great potential of the project.

Based on the findings of the monitoring, the Company may decide to build a wind farm in Kalmykia to generate energy for own needs.

​LUKOIL actively develops its renewable energy projects, thus reducing its controllable GHG emissions every year. 

22/07/2019 - LUKOIL AND KALMYKIA PROMOTE COOPERATION

​Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia and President of LUKOIL held a working meeting today in Elista. Also Vagit Alekperov ​and Batu Khasikov signed an Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation between LUKOIL and the Republic of Kalmykia.

21/07/2017 - LUKOIL DEVELOPS COOPERATION WITH THE REPUBLIC OF KALMYKIA

A Protocol to the effective Cooperation Agreement, concluded between LUKOIL and the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia in 2014, was signed in Moscow today.
