LUKOIL started to operate in Leningrad Region in 1993.
LUKOIL is developing petroleum product marketing and oil and petroleum product transportation in Leningrad Region. In 2004 the Company implemented a large project - the Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II distribution and transshipment facility for the transshipment of export oil and petroleum products was erected in Leningrad Region. The terminal's rated capacity is 10.75 million tons of oil per year.
This was the day of the opening ceremony to commission the LUKOIL-II Petroleum Product Distribution and Transshipment Complex (PPR-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II).
PJSC LUKOIL and the Leningrad Region Government signed a Cooperation Agreement.
According to the "HSE Management Policy of PJSC LUKOIL in the 21st Century" the activities of the Company in the Leningrad Region are aimed at preservation of a favorable environment, health care and safety of personnel and population.
LUKOIL contributes to social and economic development of the regions of its presence, including as part of the Agreement signed by PJSC LUKOIL and the Leningrad Region Government.
The Company also supports orphanages, educational institutions, societies for the disabled, veterans, low-income citizens. LUKOIL's means are allocated to purchase of equipment, furniture and accessories, organization of events dedicated to the Defender's Day, the Victory Day, the Children's Day and the Knowledge Day.
In 2002 the Company purchased a CT scan simulator for the Regional Clinical Hospital.
In 2003 LUKOIL donated 10 school buses to the educational institutions in Leningrad Region.
For a number of years the Company has been taking part in the historic and patriotic project entitled "Going by the Roads of Peace and the Roads of Victory!" supported by the Leningrad Region Government. The project is designed to introduce teenagers to the history of their country and some important events of the past. To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, extensive funds were allocated to beautify the
"Grove of 500" memorial site park in the Kingisepp District of Leningrad Region.
Following an established tradition, the Company fosters sports organizations and invests in healthy lifestyle promotion.
