LUKOIL has begun production tests of two Gas Treatment Plants (GTPs) at the Northern Shady Site and the Kuvachi-Alat Field in Uzbekistan's Bukhara Region as part of the Kandym Early Gas Project, which is being implemented together with National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz.
LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov took part in a meeting between the Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, and Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The latter conveyed the RF President’s invitation to the Iraqi leader to pay an official visit to Moscow.
OAO LUKOIL and OAO ANK Bashneft have signed a Participants' Agreement in OOO Oil Company VOSTOK-NAO. The VOSTOK NAO Joint Venture (with LUKOIL and Bashneft each controlling a 50% stake) was set up to conduct geologic studies, exploration and production of raw hydrocarbons at the company's license blocks in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
