PJSC LUKOIL has been operating in the Kalmyk Republic since 2004 after purchasing a filling station network. The Company has been consistently increasing its presence in the region. In 2013, the Federal Antimonopoly Service satisfied the motion of LLC LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft to purchase 50% of the CJSC KalmTatneft voting shares. From October 2013 until July 2014, in accordance with the production schedule, prospecting and appraisal well No. 1 of the Vostochno-Biryuzakskaya block at the Tekertinsky license area was drilled.
As of today, construction of the gas pipeline system and onshore facilities is completed, which will make it possible to transport natural gas from the Company's fields in the Northern part of the Caspian Sea for further processing by LLC Stavrolen in Stavropol Territory. The facility is ready for commissioning.

LLC LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft signed a work and labor contract to construct onshore oil intake facilities for the oil coming from the North Caspian offshore fields. The onshore facilities are designed to take in, store, conduct real-time metering and transfer commercial oil from the North Caspian fields to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. The maximum oil throughput capacity come to 8 mln. tn. per year.
The Cooperation Agreement between the Kalmyk Republic and PJSC LUKOIL was signed in Elista.

As LUKOIL constructs its production facilities in the region, it abides by the highest environmental standards recorded in the corresponding company documents and complies with all the procedures envisaged by the PSJC LUKOIL Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.

Starting from 2013 a number of socially significant facilities in the Chernozemelsky and Lagansky districts of Kalmykia received support from the Company.
The Company purchased medical equipment for the central hospital of the Chernozemelsky district. Laganskaya secondary school No. 23 got financial support to install a gas heating system.
In 2014 the Company helped start capital renovation of the cultural center in the town of Lagan and purchased specialized vehicles for the needs of healthcare and educational institutions of the Chernozemelsky district.
LUKOIL financed the purchase of ambulance cars for Elista hospitals.
In 2015 medical equipment was purchased for the Healthcare Ministry of the Kalmyk Republic. Capital repairs of the culture center building in the town of Lagan were started.
On May 11, 2016 Minutes No. 1 to the Agreement with the Republic were signed. The Minutes stipulate the 2016-2017 Social Development Program of the Kalmyk Republic. According to the Minutes, capital repairs will be started in the surgery building of the Dushan Chernozemelsky District Hospital, Laganskaya District Hospital and Social Shelter for Children and Teenagers.
Most active regional NGOs have been receiving grants as part of the Social and Cultural Projects Competition organized by PJSC LUKOIL in the Kalmyk Republic.
