PJSC LUKOIL has operated in Chekyabinsk Region since 1993, when it acquired Goskomnefteprodukt.
The 1997 restructuring resulted in the establishment of LUKOIL-Chelyabnefteprodukt LLC that has been used as the premises for LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt LLC since 2005.
The Chelyabinsk Region is home to an important LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt LLC bulk plant and a dispenser unit (located in Oktyabrsky settlement). The the bulk plant area accommodates six tanks of 10,000 cu.m each and 18 tanks of 2,000 cu.m each. All main processes on site are automated. This is the largest state-of-the-art facility in the Region capable of accepting more than 70,000 tons of petroleum products at a time. The bulk plant produced ECTO 92 and ECTO PLUS fuels with the High-tech 6430 and High-tech 6437 additives.
Since 2005, a training center has been in operation at the site. Every year from 350 to 450 people receive training there.
The second stage of the bulk plant — construction of the dispenser unit - was launched. The bulk plant in the Oktyabrsky settlement was upgraded. Six tanks of 10,000 tons and a metering station were commissioned.
Gas station 74002 was recommissioned after the completion of refurbishment works. The opening ceremony was attended by PJSC LUKOIL’s President Vagit Alekperov. In September 2013, this gas station won the first place in the category “Best Multi-fuel Filling Complex” of the city review contest for the best gas station of Chelyabinsk.
The opening ceremony for a new-format LUKOIL gas station was held in the city of Miass. Currently, it is one of the Company’s first facilities of its kind - attractive, contemporary, high-tech, with a wide range of services — in Chelyabinsk Region.
The Chelyabinsk regional administration hosted the opening ceremony for LUKOIL’s first YOUTH gas station in the Chelyabinsk Region. During the ceremony, guests could take part in a graffiti workshop and play foosball, while computer geeks could play an interactive computer game.
In March 2013, the Russian Society for Nature Conservation awarded the Company with a certificate of environmental excellence. The awarding ceremony was held at a press conference in the office of the Chelyabinsk Branch of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. Samples of all types of fuel that are sold at the gas stations were collected: Regular-92, ECTO 92, ECTO Plus, ECTO Sport, ECTO Diesel.
In 2007—2008, the Company provided financial support to Infant Orphanage No.8 in the city of Kopeisk in Chelyabinsk Region. The Company sponsored beautification of the orphanage territory.
In 2013, the "City of Childhood" charity campaign was held for the children of Orphanage No.14 as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the company's operations in Chelyabinsk Region. A trip to the puppet theater was organized for the children, where they could try on the role of actors. The children also visited the set of the regional "OTV" TV channel.
Since 2014, LUKOIL has supported the Legislative Assembly of Chelyabinsk Region and the Chelyabinsk City Duma's project - the Arti-Shock open regional festival for young talents. Talented children from Chelyabinsk and Chelyabinsk Region took part in this festival.
In September 2015, the Company conducted a charity campaign called "Bravery Box" to collect toys for children with cancer. To reward children for their courage, a "bravery box" was installed in every medical treatment room. This box is filled with different toys that children could take with them as a reward for the patience and courage they displayed in the "scary room".
Lukoil has been a partner of the Chelyabinsk stage of the Race of Heroes military and sports game since 2015. In this game the players must go through an obstacle course identical to the one used forthe training by the special units of the Russian army.
Thanks to the Company's support, the municipal preschool educational institution of the Kopeisk city District "Kindergarten No.62" located in the Oktyabrsky settlement was fully renovated.
