PLANE NAMED AFTER VALERY GRAYFER

One of the planes of Utair Airlines was named after Valery Grayfer, an esteemed oilman, scholar and former Chairman of PJSC LUKOIL Board of Directors. The first flight of the aircraft was from Moscow to Kogalym, LUKOIL's hometown.

Valery Grayfer made an enourmous contribution to the development of Russian oil industry and made Western Siberia world's leading oil production province. 1985 through 1992, Valery Grayfer worked as a deputy Minister of Oil Industry of the USSR. After that, he founded Russian Innovative Fuel and Energy Company (RITEK), and later became head of R&D division of LUKOIL.

2000 through 2020, Valery Grayfer was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC LUKOIL. His strategic decisions ensured the Company's long-term sustainable development.

One of LUKOIL's Caspian offshore fields is named after Valery Grayfer.

In 2021, Valery Grayfer Park was opened in Kogalym. It became one of the sightseeing attractions of the city.
