LUKOIL AWARDED BLOCK IN EASTERN SIBERIA

PJSC LUKOIL has been awarded the rights to develop the Vostochno-Taimyrsky block, which is located in the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets district of the Krasnoyarsk region. OOO LUKOIL-West Siberia, a fully-owned subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL, will operate the block.

The area of the Vostochno-Taimyrsky block is 13,800 square kilometers. The concession period is 27 years.

The new concession opens up new opportunities for PJSC LUKOIL in Eastern Siberia.

25/04/2017 - LUKOIL DRILLS FIRST KILOMETER OF ITS EXPLORATION WELL 1P ON TAYMYR

LUKOIL has drilled 1,000 meters of its first exploration well on the Vostochno-Taymyrsky license block. 374 meters of core samples from eight formations will be collected and analyzed during drilling.

04/04/2017 - LUKOIL STARTS EXPLORATION IN TAIMYR AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

PJSC LUKOIL began drilling of the first 5,500 m prospecting and appraisal well (1P) in the Vostochno-Taymyrsky license area, Krasnoyarsk Territory, six months before the scheduled deadline. LUKOIL is the first company to drill such a deep well into Lower Cambrian strata in the region.
