Because LUKOIL cares about the health of its employees, it sponsors
winter and summer sporting events in all regions of its
International Spartakiades of LUKOIL Group employees are large-scale
events held to promote physical fitness and sports for all. The first
Spartakiade was held in 2001 in Astrakhan, then in 2003 in Perm, in 2005 in
Kaliningrad and in 2007 in Kogalym.
The 5th Spartakiade, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the
Company, was held in the summer of 2011 in Perm. The tournaments were held in
futsal, volleyball, streetball, kettlebell lifting, arm-wrestling, track and
field, swimming, chess, rope pulling and table tennis. The picked team Perm,
winner of the 5th Spartakiade, carried its fifth consecutive title, while the
team West Siberia and the team Ural won silver and bronze, respectively. A
special prize, “For the Will to Win”, was awarded to the team

The Company regularly holds family competitions entitled “Dad, Mom and
Me -- we are a Sports Family!” to promote a healthy way of life, strengthen the
family values and develop the corporate culture. The fifth competition of this
kind among LUKOIL Group organizations was held in June of 2013 in St.
Petersburg. Thirty-nine family teams from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria,
Romania and Finland participated in the events.
