 LUKOIL has always been concerned about the
health of its people, and that is why every Russian region of the Company’s
operations hosts sporting events in various summer and winter
sports.
One of the largest-scale activities focusing on promotion of physical
training and popular sports are OAO LUKOIL’s International Spartakiades. The
first Spartakiade was held back in 2001 in Astrakhan, the next one was
held in 2003
in Perm, the third one in 2005 in Kaliningrad and the fourth in
2007 in
Kogalym.
The Fifth Spartakiade devoted to the Company's 20th anniversary
was held in the summer of 2011 in Perm. Five-a-side, volleyball,
street ball, kettlebell lifting, arm-wrestling, track-and-field, swimming,
chess, tug-of-war and table tennis competitions were held. The PERM team
clinched victory at the Fifth LUKOIL Group Spartakiade for the fifth consecutive
year, the West Siberia team was the runner-up, while the Ural team took third.
The Center team was awarded a special prize for its will-to-win
spirit.
The Company's activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle
were rewarded by the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development. LUKOIL was winner in the category, Best Corporate
Project of the second All-Russia Contest for Healthy
Russia projects set up by the Ministry in
2011.

The
competitions held in 2010 included a corporate competition for the Cup of OAO
LUKOIL President, marking the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Approximately 300 athletes from 10 teams representing LUKOIL’s active regions
attended this competition.
The "North-West” team came in first in indoor soccer, while the
winners of the volleyball tournament were the Foreign Countries men’s team and
the Perm women’s team.
