In 2010 LUKOIL-Volganeftprodukt and the LUKOIL Charity Fund launched a new project “We have Found our Talents” in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The project launched in partnership with the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum helps 12 to 16 year-olds to come to know the history and theory of fine arts, choose various artistic occupations, and acquire knowledge in drawing, painting and composing. In the course of the year both museum employees and professional artists give practical classes to children.
The Final Exhibition of Children's Drawings in the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum held in October 2011 was the most emotionally moving event for members of the project, which was attended by the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Mr. V.P. Shantsev and LUKOIL’s President and CEO Mr. V.Yu. Alekperov. The most striking and brightest children's drawings were used to create the LUKOIL-Volganefteprodukt corporate calendar and published as greeting cards, with sets thereof being given to the Company’s personnel.
One of the participants to the project “We have found our Talents”, graduate of the Kstovo orphanage Tatyana M. went on to later win an award of the All-Russian children creativity competition “My Nation of Museums” held under the auspices of the Union of Museums of Russia, and the Russian Center for Museum Teaching and Promotion of Children’s Creative Skills of the Russian Museum. Another participant, who is also a former orphanage student, Anastasiya D. is now a student with the Artistic Vocational School No.30 in the town of Semenov.
In 2015 the project went beyond the Nizhny Novgorod Region and is now under way in the Republics of Mordovia and Chuvashia.
