{ 9/9/2016 12:00:00 AM }

The existing three nominations of the contest - “Environment”, “Spirituality and Culture” and “Sports” were complemented this year by a new, forth category titled “Energy for Human Development”, to mark the 25th anniversary of PJSC LUKOIL’s foundation. Sixty-four projects out of 400 contending applications were recognized as winners. The contest’s grant funding reached 15 million rubles.

Later the same day, an opening ceremony of the Pobeda sports facility constructed under the Social Partnership Agreement between LUKOIL and the Government of the Samara Region was held in the village of Koshki. The two-story building features an area of seven thousand sq. m. accommodating a skating rink and a variety of courts for hockey, basketball, volleyball, tennis, indoor soccer, track-and-field and heavy athletics, and gymnastics.

During his meeting with the LUKOIL Group’s personnel in the Samara Region Vagit Alekperov provided more examples of cooperation between the business community and the authorities in the region, and discussed the first six months’ performance, as well as the Company’s further plans.
