LUKOIL AND PERM REGION DEVELOP SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Perm Region Maksim Reshetnikov signed Protocol to the Cooperation Agreement for 2020 in Perm today. The signing ceremony was attended by Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.

As part of the cooperation between LUKOIL and the Government of Perm Region, the company will contribute to the development of gas and heat supplying infrastructure, renovate three hospitals, eight schools and two kindergartens, a sports center in Kueda District, construct a new art school for children in Perm District and continue its consistent effort of urban development.

For instance, in 2019 eleven parks and public gardens have already been opened in towns and remote settlements as part of the special project Comfortable Urban and Rural Environment. LUKOIL also supported the construction of three community centers in rural areas, a sports and health center in the town of Verestchagino, two stadiums for pupils of Perm, and the renovation of a neonatal pathology department of the regional hospital for children.

Vagit Alekperov and Maksim Reshetnikov also signed an agreement to cooperate on the research and educational Center for Sustainable Management of Resources,  where the President of LUKOIL and the Governor held a meeting with representatives of academia and local industrial companies to discuss unique world-class potential of the center, established upon the initiative of the RF President Vladimir Putin, as well the center's latest scientific developments for oil and gas industry as one of the areas of its expertise and focus.
